corrupt display in Chrome 5.0.375.70 with AdBlock extension

Going nuts here;~/ Seems isolated to Chrome, IOW is OK
in IE8, Opera, Safari and FF (all browsers bang up to date).
HS 4.1.8 opens to a narrow vertical slit but with the
calling-home URL and normally included caption alongside.
Normal hovering does properly bring up the control bar
stuff (the buttons of which seemingly work OK).
Everything seems 'fine'... but for the corrupted display.
Have seen it work perfectly for the first image and
then go to this corruption thereafter. Chrome or HS?

[PostEdit: subject amended slightly to include reason]

Are you referring to one of the barebones examples, or to some page of your own creation?

I canÔÇÖt see anything similar in the Highslide barebones samples (http://www.highslide.com/index.htm) using Chrome 5 on the Mac.
Do the barebones samples appear normally at your end?

Seemingly the HS bare bones samples are good.
Have posted a corrupted screenshot in the OP.

A screenshot doesn't really help to identify the cause. We're not seeing the same problem anywhere.

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

Please keep my site's URLs offline.
Live sample URL by PM provided (both of you).
Actually any of my albums are doing this in
Chrome but ONLY(?) in the Chrome browser!
Have been rather busy developing some
distributed domain cache to appease Google's
pagespeed apparent demands and also a site
wide templating system (that's for me). Then
this stuff turned up, so I don't know if it's a
Chrome thing or just me...

Works fine for me in Chrome (same version), with both small and large images (Win7/64). No distortion at all.

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

Cheers. Noticed it happening last night here (Win7/64bit).
Could be a cache thing... cache is EVERYWHERE.
Have seen Chrome do this OK but it keeps reverting,
so to speak, to this damn vertical slit corruption.
The stuff displayed actually works too, all the more
annoyingly, the slideshow appears to work albeit in
a few pixels width. Everything OK but the display.
Have tried Ctrl+ up to the max zoom and can see
vestiges what should be shown in the slit, now the
size of a crack. The flower and the cat can be 'seen'
in that tiny vertical crack and all the buttons work.
Maybe a video mode issue - my video driver is still
generic as Matrox are having some issue with M$.

Works well in Chrome/Vista 64bit too.
I agree ÔÇô this must be a problem at your end.

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

OK, it's cache-orientated but with another contributing issue.
Have now got Chrome to show the first HS displayed image
properly AFTER a major cache clearance but the very
next image or HS attempt HS gives the corrupted view.
Hard to point to video really if it can work - even once.
Local issue, yes...HS or Chrome or maybe W7/64bit?

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

May have it... have disabled all the Google extensions
currently resident in Chrome and HS now showing OK.
Will advise and report when I track down the culprit.
OK culprit is...

ADBLOCK v2.0.9

Can you replicate or confirm?

LOCAL workaround:
Have put my own site's URL into ADBLOCK's options
for excluded sites. However I cannot expect this of
my site's visitors using Chrome!? Does HS want to
run with ADBLOCK over this on an official basis?

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

I can confirm this. When activating Adblock in Chrome and Safari images gets distorted or disappears. The images at Highslide frontpage disappear (at least when trying to open them a second time) and the images in these galleries are resized to fill the width/height of the useBox: http://www.rhkorps.net/galleri.htm
The images seems to appear as normally when deactivating this BETA function: Block most ads from even being downloaded

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

Appreciate the bug confirmation... while I still have hair left.
My Chrome extension is not Beta, it is called AdBlock version
as previously posted. Its changelog has this URL...
http://code.google.com/p/adblockforchro ... /Changelog
...because I think there is much 'adblock' stuff around.
Will HS take this up officially?

Re: corrupt opening display in Chrome 5.0.375.70

No one said that AdBlock 2.0.9 is a beta. But that particular option within AdBlock is, indeed, labeled "Beta."
